1. That would depend on how |
|
well she does as president. If all this comes to pass, she will have a heavy burden to carry. I think it would be great to see her succeed. First things first though, Vote the Bastards OUT!

3. But Cheney has committed crimes of his own. If they get Bush, |
|
Cheney wouldn't be far behind.

As if so, what makes you think that she would become President? She's nowhere in the line of succession.

8. If the democrats take back the house, |
|
Pelosi becomes Speaker of the House. She would be #3, right after Bush and Cheney. It there is an impeachment, Bush and Cheney go down together.

7. Don't say "IF". Say "WHEN". |
|
Him and Cheney WILL be impeached. All that follows will be what it will be.

9. I taught this very subject to my class. |

Obviously I didn't use Pelosi, just a hypothetical. The answer is Yes, she could very well be the nominee for the Dem party in 2008 and could possibly run for re-election in in 2012, depending on how long she served as president upon bush and cheney's impeachment and assuming she became Speaker of the House. It would all depend on how long she served as Pres. The rules concerning term limits for a president state that one can be president for 10 years. How, you ask? Well, if Pelosi became president as S of the H and served for two years, she would be eligible for two more terms in office...(4 years + 4 years + 2 years = 10 years.) If, however, she served for longer than 2 years, she would only be eligible to run for president only one time because 2 terms would put her over the maximum number of 10 years. Hope I didn't confuse everyone.
