I see its been fixed.

The answer, no, not as I see it unless other elected officials grow a spine or brain.

4. Give the government something elseto think about instead of war
keep them distracted - if they had uprisings here they would be busy

5. We really need to get out into the streets
in huge numbers, for peaceful protests. That's what I believe. That's what I hoped the World Can't Wait Rally would be, or at least start, but hardly anyone showed up.

6. The protests preceding the Iraq invasion didn't do much good, so
after reading what Scott Ritter said was on the agenda I'm trying to think outside the box, alas prolly to no avail.

:(

9. That would mobilize the populace, as it did during the VN war era.
Which is probably why they don't want to do that.

10. I've been saying the same thing
for a long time now. It's the only way the sheeple will wake the fuck up.

BTW, I'm a newbie here on DU, still trying to figure out some of the abbreviations. Please tell me what "n/t" means.

15. True. Boy I wish we had some extraordinary leaders who
Edited on Fri Feb-10-06 01:34 PM by Humor_In_Cuneiform
could mobilize people.

The way Ritter describes it, which doesn't sound unlikely for * et al, it is just unacceptable.

Attacking with conventional weapons on nuclear sites is bad enough, but to use another nuke and on civilians.

:nuke: :scared: :banghead:

Oh, and of course many of us have been saying to prepare for the worst as they see themselves in trouble, their power waning, their approval in the tank.
