Who Gives a Damn What Bill O'Reilly Says, Anyway?
The scumbag plays to a Fox sniffing, Kool-Aid drunk crowd of Limbaugh lovers, whose minds are too far gone. Do you really think he has the capacity to change fence-sitter's minds?

3. the people who seem to pay attention to him
are left wing radio talk show hosts. Stephanie Miller has a segment called "Right Wing World" that often features O'Lielly, and Al Franken does his share of talking about him as well. If it weren't for them and DU, I wouldn't even know he existed.

5. EXACTLY.
The more we talk about him; the more power he has. I think in reality even his viewers are getting fatigued. We need to start ignoring him a bit more....help his slide into irrelevance.

9. Sun tzu said
know thy enemy. Refuting some of their talking points gives people that are surrounded by freepers (like me) a little bit of ammunition. I refuse to watch the scum bag directly, and my brother-in-law has that sh*t piped into his ears and directly to his mouth.

11. Well, let me tell you this. I have NEVER listened to oreally, rush or any
of the other right wing morons OR left wing pundits. Ever. Not once. Not EVER.

Yet, I still ably and easily refute all their talking points in real life or in Yahoo PL chat.

Listening to this MINDELESS idiotic nonsense STAINS you. It fills your head and your heart with their bile, vile and filth. It makes you mean, and stirs the chaotic points in your brain. It does no good. It stresses your heart and your mind to listen to this evil nasty filth.

Turn it OFF. Turn off the NEWS. Don't watch CNN, FOX or ANY news at all other than perhaps some local stuff. Your mind must be at peace to work at its best. This insane media saturation is worse than cancer.

Free your mind, and the rest will follow.

Listening to the hate doesn't educate you, it taints you. It's like shit, it's the soiling of your soul.

You have the internet, just read. You will learn all you need to know without infecting your mind and soul with the hate insanity.

12. I agree with you.
My news sources are Air America, DU, and the local paper--which is pretty even handed.

And even hearing what they say irritates the hell out of me, which is why I like to be a little bit prepared for it before hand.

My hat is off to your abilities, however. :)

10. I'll tell you why we should give a damn
because this is how the lies become the news.

Idiots like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc use their TV & Radio shows to spew forth the lies. After they repeat them enough times their kool-aid drinking dittoheads start repeating the message over and over again and eventually Fox starts putting it in their evening news as truth. Once Fox picks it up, CNN & MSNBC have to keep up with FOX so they start reporting it as news. Next thing you know Katie Couric is on the TODAY show repeating those same lies created by O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al like it's the god honest truth.

I mean, how do you think the lies about "Dems took money from Abramoff" started. I mean, a simple search on Newsmeat or Open Secrets will show that Jack Abramoff never gave money to any democrats, the only tie the dems have were the fact that all of them receive monies from Native-American tribes some of which are represented by Abramoff. And yet there was Katie on Today telling Howard Dean he was wrong even if he did pull a query from Open Secrets that listed everyone who has received Abramoff donations. And when Dean corrected her on the lie SHE REPEATED IT AGAIN and questioned Dean about HIS information.

So yes, it's important to know what these assholes are saying because what they say today will be headline news in 1-2 weeks even if it's a lie. Not all of it will get picked up (About a month ago Hannity tried to tell us that Al-Qaeda was hiring HIV+ people to act as Sucide Bombers because when that HIV+ person blows up his/her blood along with shrapnel will hit others around him and spread the disease. Not kidding you! That one died). But if they repeat everything enough times like it's the truth eventually some of it will stick as the truth.

That's how they operate

14. No, that's why I let Media Matters do all the work
and then I help spread the truth by posting and emailing it.

I know they are not worth our time but when a major news story like 'Dems taking money from Jack Abramoff' can be traced back to the liars like Hannity, O'Reilly, et. al then we should be well versed in the truth and getting it out there!
