republicans like to use the 'ticking bomb' scenario to soften the fact that we like to torture our prisoners of war. it goes something like, a terrorist has been found to have a nuclear bomb and it's ticking and since he refuses to tell where it is and when it's going to explode, they must torture the truth out of him in order to save thousands of lives, thereby making the torture legal, and just.

well.........bush is literally threatening the lives of thousands, no kidding, he's already killed THOUSANDS of innocent people, and two thousand u.s. soldiers and he shows no signs of letting up, so....
