How do you like Greta Van Susteren ?

Her reporting has never been discussed here on DU. I don't know how you feel about her, so I'll give my own impression.

I like her and for the life of me, I don't don't know what the hell she is doing on Fox.

Unfortunately she avoids the political issues for the most part and arguably certainly over does it on stories like Holloway sometimes. But she is a tell-it-like-it-is reporter. She goes where the story takes her and she doesn't impose a bias or color it one way or the other.

She has no ego problem either. She was right there in the water, the heartache and tragedy in New Orleans. And I think did one of the best jobs of any reporter.

On the occasions when a political event dominates the news, and she does cover it on her show, in my opinion she elicits the facts the best she can and she doesn't resemble any of the other parrot prodigy pricks on Faux.

I wish she would get the hell off of there and do daily political topic shows. I think she would nail lord little boots in a second. And I don't think she gets enough credit.

3. I like Greta for all the reasons you mentioned. I might be wrong,

but I believe she leans to the left more than the right. I wish she would get off Fox also cause she's totally wasted there.

6. She was a great legal analyst when she was on CNN

before Bush got selected. Then she didn't mind attacking the political issues including the fact that the Supreme Court didn't have any jurisdiction over the 2000 election. She actually said that the states were the only legal courts that had the right to settle those disputes. When the Supreme Court stopped the recount, she had the deer caught in headlights look as she announced it. I mean she genuinely seemed stunned.

She left CNN shortly after because as she put it she felt like a person who had stayed at the party too long. Why on earth she went to Fox is beyond me. Of course today, I guess it wouldn't make any difference considering that I don't think they would let her speak up even at PBS. I do believe she's a liberal. Maybe Fox keeps her on so they can say, "of course we're fair and balanced. After all we have Greta."

I would be comfortable believing her even if it was something negative about the Democrats, should there be some scandal. I don't think she would embellish the story one bit.

That's why I would really love to have her doing a show like Matthews because she wouldn't hesitate to question these BS spewing grand oil party rejects.

I would bet she has a high credibility rating with most people across the board. At least the ones who know her.

Something just doesn't fit. I don't know if she just doesn't like wallowing in the political wam fest or if Fox has got some covenant with her that she has to keep a low profile on it.

It doesn't fit with her past or her nature to do that. Something is weird. I'd even love to see her on MSNBC because she would have a huge audience over night if she got into something like a Matthews show.

because it is fOx. I thought she was fine on CNN.

One day I went to fOX just to see what they were like. Gibson was on, who I'd seen before on MSNBC.(?) I never liked him much or made any point of watching him there but he wasn't horrible then. On fOX he seemed insane, just disgusting.

I changed the channel and didn't go back. I am glad to hear Greta didn't do a Gibson going there.
