Republicans are weak on impeachment.
What's with Republicans and impeachment? It's like they are afraid to talk about it. Everyone else knows their guy lied cheated, stole, spyed, wasted, murdered, and did so needlessly. They know it too.

That's what makes them so weak on impeachment.

5. Maybe we are weak on impeachment? I wonder what would
happen if a whole bunch of people started asking Repos to impeach, or why not?

14. Impeachment as an issue is the way to the house. Not as an end but
as a means.

It highlights the Republican lack of soul, their Lack of basic moral values, their lack of Amnerican core values.

It calls into question the lack of judgrement and oversite in congress.

The Republicans are only safe until we ask them to impeach, because what are they going to say? "No, it's not clear the president lied?" "No, it's not clear the president broke the law?"

Excuse me?

I believe most Americans know we are being had.

So we need to have Republicans speaking out on Impeachment. But if we don't ask, they won't tell.

15. Republicans are not going to stand up and call for impeachment
no matter what pressure they get from their constituents because, frankly, most of them are just as dirty as * is.

Or they aren't going to tell.

16. Even more formidable is it takes 3/4 vote of the Senate to sustain an
Impeachment.

Often the journey is more important than the destination, grasshopper. We could lose the battle and win the war.

Impeachment is the only constitutional remedy for lying, stealing two timing, murdering, thug criminal low lifes like inhabit our executive branch, so I'm for it.

And I think we should force the issue down the Republicans throat.

Because it's the right thing to do.

Not to be used unless they did something REALLY bad, far worse than what you listed above.

You know, like cheating with an intern... :gasp:

20. Is impeachment quasi-taboo? Would you ask your Repo Rep the 'I"
question? You know, there's something about asking Republicans to do things you know they aren't going to do that just turns people off.

I'm the same way. It's a heck of a lot easier asking my Demo Senator to do something he isn't going to do than it is to ask my Repo Congressman or Senator to do something they aren't going to do.

30. They know IT WILL HAPPEN if they even touch it. . .
Edited on Sat Feb-11-06 04:39 PM by pat_k
Many, many, Republican voters are "Get 'Em! Get 'Em!" people -- and it doesn't much matter who they are "getting," they just revel in accusation and punishment.

If any Republican or Democratic leader comes out STRONG for Impeachment -- accuses the Bush Syndicate of there crimes and demands punishment -- they won't just activate the anti-fascists; they will pull in all those "Get 'Em! Get 'Em!" people (largely white males who identify as Republicans or Libertarians).

If you confront the truth about the Bush Syndicate, Impeachment is a moral imperative.

Bush is breaking the law. There is no way around it. This truth is the third rail and to date even Democratic leaders are reluctant to touch it (e.g., Bayh warning against "making a big deal" of the criminal wiretapping without a warrant).

But the truth gets through. When it does, Impeachment is inevitable.

33. Don't you think the Rethugs are spineless too?
They rarely stand up to *. And I know, a lot of the things they go along with are things they want, but I think in many cases, they are completely spineless.

You know, if we do get the House back, then I think we -- all of us who care about this country -- have to push the Dems to file articles of impeachment.

Just my 2 cents.
