22. Pants on Fire: How Al Franken Lies, Smears, and Deceives
:puke:

Editorial Reviews

Book Description
Al Franken was a "nobody" in the arena of political punditry before he wrote two best-selling books, Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them. Now one of the most prominent figures on the liberal Air America radio network, formed to counter the mostly conservative voice of mainstream talk radio, he consistently boasts "I tell the truth" and "I hold myself to an impossibly high standard when it comes to telling the truth."

Alan Skorski is a political media consultant for a political Internet marketing firm in Washington, D.C. A frequent contributor to the Jewish Press and a former candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, he lives in West Hempstead, New York.

49. This Alan guy (a dairy-addicted, bloated pudge-pot with a serious
speech impediment) will be following Franken and harassing him throughout his political career.

He spent the opening part of his talk letting us know how lovable and gentle he is. :puke:

If Franken is serious about running for congress, he might want to get some investigators onto Skorski's ass to see where his funding comes from, and what all-else other crap there is to smack-down that seemingly-pleasant little ball of bullshit. Watch his book, see if money is thrown at it by an orginization...whatever. Get this guy NOW. If he's got the big money shitheads behind him, Franken will be in trouble if he doesn't cut that cancer out NOW.

And Skorski, dude: I say this with love in my heart, Get yourself to a good allergist who specializes in food sensitivities. You are a fucking mess.

25. After Words: Kate O'Beirne interviewed by Jodi Enda
After Words: Kate O'Beirne interviewed by Jodi Enda

Kate O'Beirne was interviewed by Jodi Enda about her book Women Who Make the World Worse: And How Their Radical Feminist Assault Is Ruining Our Schools, Families, Military, and Sports, published by Sentinel. In her first book, Kate O'Beirne, Washington editor of the National Review, tells her story as a combatant in the war between the sexes beginning in the 1970's when she fought against the Equal Rights Amendment. She argued that feminism has achieved its consensus goals regarding equality but that the feminist movement is now focused on goals that she considers destructive. She discussed topics including gender differences, voting preferences, marriage, sexual mores, domestic violence, abortion, education, and childcare. Ms. O'Beirne cited how she believes reality differs from the positions of leading feminists and said that feminist leaders are more concerned with their own agendas than what the majority of women really want or need.

Jodi Enda, former president of the Women and Journalism Symposium, covers politics, culture, and gender issues for publications including the American Prospect, Mother Jones, and Lifetime magazine.

52. And I also watched the corralling of the Saber-Toothed Freeptard
otherwise known as Kate O'Beirne.

Kudos to journalist Jodi Enda for gracefully and bravely leading that braying beast into the tarpit of her own Right-Wing nonsense.

It was a beautiful job of pointing up Kate's hypocrisy and her horseshit without once screaming "Who the fuck do you think you're kidding?" the way I would have done.

Kudos also go to Kate O'Beirne's plastic surgeon, who appears to have used Kate's kisser to make a political statement.

Thanks to the miracles of modern surgery, O'Beirne now fully looks like the ventriloquist's dummy she has whored herself out as to BushCo for decades.

Even the cover of her book is hideous. designed to bullshit the dim-witted chuckle-headed crowd who still live in a world of Lawrence Welk and John Wayne. Where those whom harbor deep fear, loathing, and mistrust of the vagina itself still see Jane Fonda as a vile threat to humanity.

Kate is bullshitting them and she knows it. It was great to watch that highly-paid, yet very poor liar squirm as she weaseled her way through explaining why she never stayed home as a full-time mom for the length of her children's' youth.

Feh! Kate, I fart in your general direction.

She's a surgically and ideologically taut-faced defender of lies as well, just not as highly paid or connected.

Indistinguishable from the smirks of Karen Hughes, Mary Matlin, Phylis Schafly, that Ileana shithead in Florida, and the biggest nut-jobber lady of them all, George w Bush.

26. Joel Miller, Size Matters:
another :puke: alert

Joel Miller, Size Matters: How Big Government Puts the Squeeze on America's Families, Finances, and Freedom and Limits the Pursiut of Happiness

Your right to pursue happiness has been revoked by Big Government.

Thousands of pages of regulations, millions of employees, and trillions of tax dollars . . . Big Government is bigger than ever, and as this bloated behemoth continues to fatten up and stretch out, it squeezes America's entrepreneurs, workers, and families - cutting our choices, limiting our opportunities, and squelching our right to pursue happiness.

Every year, taxes increase, regulations pile higher, the cost of living goes up - and our quality of life suffers. So with everyone obsessing about the obesity problem in America, isn't it time we looked at the fat, flabby, overstretched, and overbloated behemoth that is American government?

Size Matters shows through facts, figures, and head-spinning stories that as government increases in quantity, we all suffer a loss in life quality. Miller reveals the damning details of Big Government's impact on the lives of ordinary Americans. How it . . .

reduces family income
drives up the cost of housing, healthcare, and most every other consumer product or service
hurts employment
misdirects entrepreneurial efforts
stifles vital marketplace creativity and innovation

Bristling with drama and data, Size Matters reveals the real daily drawbacks of Big Government. It comes down to this . . .

Big Government = Huge Problem. Size really does matter.

"Miller explains how government overregulation and porkbarrelling are costing Americans money and freedom while politicians and special interests line their pockets. This book should be a political call to arms."
-Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit.com; author of An Army of Davids

"Great sport! Imagine Thomas Frank if he actually told the truth. Accessible, entertaining, informative, and relevant in the best sense of the word. Read this book and you'll never lose an argument to a liberal again."
-Jack Cashill, author of Hoodwinked and Sucker Punch

Whenever any of them opens their mouths I begin to get images of their one-bedroom apartments, piles of laundry-- complete with skidmarks--as far as the eye can see.

The Cato Institute's Cootie Patrol. It figures that they'd name their book "Size Matters".

Doubtless they imagine it to be a form of vengeance on all the woman in their lives who prefaced a farewell speech with that very phrase.

World as Laboratory: Experiments with Mice, Mazes, and Men
Rebecca Lemov

The field of human engineering got its start in the 1920s and 30s, when American social scientists experimented with behavior control with the ultimate goal of improving society. The experiments received federal funding during World War II and CIA support during the Cold War, and some human engineers began focusing on ever more coercive methods of "soft torture." Using behavioral conditioning techniques such as sensory and sleep deprivation, humiliation, stress positions, and environmental manipulation in combination with interrogation, social scientists experimented with attempts to erode the sense of self in order to rebuild it in the experimenter's terms. Rebecca Lemov traces the history of behavioral conditioning in her book "World as Laboratory."

Rebecca Lemov has taught history and anthropology at the University of Washington. She is a former Woodrow Wilson fellow. "World as Laboratory" is her first book.

Dogs of God: Columbus, the Inquisition, and the Defeat of the Moors
James Reston, Jr.

The year 1492 is often remembered as the year that Christopher Columbus discovered the new world. In "Dogs of God: Columbus, the Inquisition, and the Defeat of the Moors," James Reston writes that it was also the year in which Europe's desire for global conquest resulted in religious wars, international battles for land, and political upheaval across the continent due to the close relationship between national governments and religion.

James Reston, Jr. is the author of ten books, including “Vietnam and Galileo: A Life” and “Sherman's March.” He has contributed articles to the New Yorker, Time, Rolling Stone, Esquire, and Vanity Fair, among others.. His television work includes three "Frontline" documentaries including "Eighty-Eight Seconds in Greensboro,” about the 1979 murders of anti-klan activists by Ku Klux Klan members.
