"Before he came into office, I think Bush thought NSA stood for
National Stamp Association."

James Bamford, investigative journalist just said this on Weekends with Connie and Morrie.

1. Maury and Connie is actually a damn fine show
They use a light-hearted approach, a good dose of humor and graphics, and even "dumb down" the issues; but that's good, seeing as the average right wing acolyte has a hard time with nuance. They aren't excessively snarky, and they work well together (either that marriage is strong, or they are great actors, I reckon).

I saw Bamford say that and roared, myself!

3. A journalist who has written a couple of books on the NSA
He's suing the government to find out if they've been a-spying on him.

He has serious credibility, too...NSA cooperated with him on one of his books, rather closely, too.

4. I also like how he stuck to his guns about the shrub breaking the law.

Maury tried to play it down and Bamford refused to back-off of his very educated opinion.

5. Maury was struggling to be bipartisan, but I suspect he bought
Bamford's rationale before the guy opened his mouth...
