Ken Starr's Forgery Scandal - Will This Help Tip '06?
Seems to me this is the proverbial chickens coming home to roost.

Scooter Libby. Karl Rove. Duke Cunningham. Tom Delay. Abramoff. Illegal wiretapping.

And now the very man they sent out to destroy the last Democratic President is brought up on charges of being involved with forgery and false documents.

Pretty easy for Mr. and Mrs. Middle America to understand criminal behaviour when it is served up to them on a silver platter.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Lawyers for a death row inmate, including former Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth Starr, sent fake letters from jurors asking California's governor to spare the man's life, prosecutors said Friday.

The jurors denied they thought Michael Morales deserved clemency because some of the testimony at his trial may have been fabricated, said Nathan Barankin, spokesman for Attorney General Bill Lockyer.

"We showed each person the declaration on their behalf and they all said they didn't say that," Barankin said.

San Joaquin County prosecutor Charles Schultz also said the letters sent to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger last week were "untrue" and "pure fiction."

Starr was not immediately available for comment, said a spokeswoman for the Pepperdine School of Law, where Starr is the dean.

The only slight redemption is that I don't believe in capital punishment...

2. Gawrsh! It's the Culture of Corruption!
Remember, Starr also tried to trump up a legal case using illegal phone intercepts.

Wonder what they're teaching there at Pepperdine?

3. Yes, the swill in the Republican culture of corruption flows wide and deep
and grossly groady stanky.

5. Yup.
But somewhere there are Republicans working 24/7 to figure out a way to pretend Harry Reid is tied in....

7. Harry Reid gave funds to American Indian forgerers
who then wrote the letters in an attempt to frame Starr.

I imagine this will be out on Worldnet Daily in a matter of hours.

4. I think it is too overwhelming for the average
person. They are more likey to believe the media made it all up.

10. Clemency? Did Morales somehow become a fetus again?
Since when are reichbots like Ken Starr arguing for clemency for death row inmates? Where're the dollars in it for them?

:wtf:

11. Sorry, I don't think this will effect the 2006 elections.
It is kind of funny though.

14. I can't believe I am defending Starr
but this does have to be pointed out. First, the jurors may well have changed their stories upon being intervied by law enforcement officials. It has happened. Second, the investigator may well have lied to all people involved. In either of those cases Starr isn't the problem.
