2. The press is complicit in the administration's power grabs and so |
|
scrutiny is withheld when Bush or Cheney or Rice et al lie through their teeth.
You're right -- Clinton was given much less room to roam, and all he did was commit adultery, admittedly a questionable strategy for married folks, but by no means on the scale of dropping megaton bombs on unarmed civilian populations and then lying about it to the entire world.

6. Agree fully and enthusiastically. Clinton got the hatchet and Bush |
|
gets a pass.
But Dubya's double-dealing days may be coming to a close. Uncle Dick is under scrutiny from Fitz and Dubya's poll numbers are stuck in the toilet.
I think 2006 will be a pretty darn good year for Democrats nationwide.

7. O god, rzemanfl -- you're on target here. The press was dismissive |
|
toward Kerry-Edwards and witlessly deferential toward Bush/Cheney.
But these days even the hapless media are waking up to failure after failure by the Bush administration. Even REPUBLICANS are stgarting to get the message!

9. The media is not hapless, the Democratic party and the people |
|
of the United States are:
Main Entry: hap·less Pronunciation: 'ha-pl&s Function: adjective : having no luck : UNFORTUNATE - hap·less·ly adverb - hap·less·ness noun
The media gets Armani suits, fancy hairdos, World travel and million dollar salaries, we get it in the hindquarters.

That nobody in the Bush admin has ever met anybody or talked to anybody.
Oh yea... Bush did talk to God.
