Am I and some others so dumb as to have to have someone dress me each day
Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 10:25 AM by madokie
Why is it when someone makes a post about Hillary or something that Doug Thompson wrote etc. Some people on here go ape-shit crazy, start making snide remarks etc. I'm scared to post anything of the two because I don't really want to read what some bat-shit crazy, in my estimation, person is gonna' shot off about. Are you so far more intelligent. If you don't have anything constructive to say just ignore. There has been many occasions in my short time here where I've had to bite my tongue, but bite it I do. We each are entitled to our opinions and beliefs.
WTF
Asbestos suit ready

Edited to remove stfu and add just ignore. My apologies to all

1. I understand what you are saying, but
"If you don't have anything constructive to say STFU, simple"

doesn't go with

"We each are entitled to our opinions and beliefs."

Unfortunately, we can't control people's reactions to our opinions. But we can refuse to be bothered by them.

:D

4. Beat me to the draw!
Pretty much sums it up. Many here (or maybe it is just childish old me) get their dander up when they are told to STFU. I really don't appreciate it at all, I served just like you Okie, just so I & others may have the right to voice our opinions, inconsequential, stupid, vapid, dim-witted, ill informed, & unworthy of consideration as they may be.

8. I actually understand your point!
It can be awfully frustrating to attempt to have a serious discussion & see it devolve into a flamefest.

2. We Only Want To Read Stuff We Agree With -- Damn It!
How dare you even consider posting stuff I may not agree with 100%? How dare you vilify St. Hillary... or post stuff from Doug Thompson, instead of our hallowed MSM? Get a brain, moran!

3. This here is an internet message board where differing opinions

are allowed. I am not going to go around posting all sweetness and light agreement if I don't agree. I'm going to debate. It's a good way to exchange ideas and opinions. The ignore button is a very useful tool if it bothers you.

Why is it so many people made snide remarks about Dean, Kerry, etal??? Because, exactly as you say, we are each entitled to our own opinions. :hi:

by the way, your thread comes very close to be a broad sweeping attack.

5. I'm not saying anything about agreeing, thats what this is all about
Without disagreement how do we learn. What I'm saying is pay attention to some post concerning just the two mentioned subjects and see if you don't see what I'm saying. I've seen it in the replies already. Like I said the suit is on.
peace

11. Kinda reminds me of the way some people can't
admit that there could be any liberals/progressives living in the middle of even the reddest parts of the map. It can be tiring to defend ones more positive intentions in the face of others that just "know" there is no redemption possible for whatever Repuke cesspool is being discussed.

14. I wouldn't worry about it.
Without dissenting views, there is no debate. As far as being dressed down, it happens to me all the time including being told I'm not a true democrat if I disagree from some things some DLC elected dems say. I'm sure I say things to them they take the same way.

No one's fault but my own.

You know for some reason I'm not surprised either
