follow-up talk with my sister on impeachment
I just talked to my sister that I had a big fight with last week on impeachment of George
Bush. If you remember, she said that impeachment was too 'divisive" and that the only
way to proceed was to vote them out of power. That would be enough.

Well today, she said that she had just finished reading: Jimmy Carter's book: Our Endangered
Values. I told her how they are seizing old people's medicine that they have ordered
from Canada. She agreed that he has gone too far. She then started quoting things from
Jimmy Carter's book about Iraqis killed due to the war, and Carter's description of the
run to war by America. She is now for impeachment.

This is a major shift folks.

3. No, she was always for that
which I find a real head banger. But, Jimmy's book reaches people, it gets past the
"they all cheat" rhetoric and "its only to be expected." No it is not, we cannot
condone what has gone on.

4. thank you
When I came on here after that argument I was shaking with anger, now I feel major progress.
Most people are not as well informed as we are and it's like lifting up a cement brick
trying to get the information through.

5. Ah, the warm feeling of helping someone to see the light.
I sense a change in the air, a soft breeze saying IMPEACH

We have no choice, little lord pissy pants thinks he was picked to save us and his cabal will not leave without being frog marched off to the Hague. Think about it, as soon as he is out of the whitehouse he will be hunted down like the nazi's were after WWII. They know that as sure as I know that and that is what makes this very dangerous times. They have too hold on to power to stay out of jail. We all know how cornered animals are and they are cornered. Sorry about getting slightly off message.

7. I understand
just think of ordering people to go and seize old people's medicine at the airports, who would want to do that. I remember when my parents were alive and how they fretted, that's one of the meanest things I can think of. It's not their fault that they cannot afford
the medicines sold here in America. If this isn't blaming the victim, I don't know what is.

15. I'll just never get the logic in giving huge tax cuts to people by all
accounts couldn't spend in the rest of their lives while taking medicines, grocerys, hell their dignity. Old people aren't poor by choice. The average joe has hardly any money to set aside for their later use.
Have to dispose it if they have to go to a nursing home before the government will pay a dime. Lady, we have us a lot of work cut out to do. I can Proudly say that both of my Stepson's will fight the good fight for as long as they live just like us. This time, generation have a hand up on us due to the fact that some were old enough to have lived in the good and then this terrible times. Plus they have us who have lived through the '50's and '60's, the red scare and all that. I know some of that has wiped, for the lack of a better word at the moment, on them. The thugs went too far this time, grossly overreached. Setting the tempo of making changes for the better for all americans not just the rich. And they, the repukes don't even see this. Madokie is proud and happy today because I have hope. I hear the gentle breese wispering Impeach.

16. with liberty and justice for all
to me that translates as don't snatch medicine away from old people. We need to
get some Dems in place in power. We need to bring back what has made this a great
country, the essential love of freedom, respect for the rights of others and the
inherent kindness of the American people.

19. We stopped a tyrant once and a war too, we are putting in motion
the stopping of these, Our sons and daughter's will probably have to finish this one because we didn't start early enough, gonna' be a lot harder to accomplish this time around but we'll do it. Our country will be vastly improved for it too. People can see what unchecked power can do and I don't think they'll ever let it happen again. It'll be the number one subject taught in our high schools for quite some time.
I'm mad, you're mad, over 50% of the country is mad right along with us. I don't have a problem with someone's religion I just don't want to live in a theocracy. Back when we had a democracy was fine with me. Keep the separation of church and state and the three branches with a free press.

21. I'm with you
and I am tired of the life blood of this country being sucked away into some non-essential
programs, stick with FEMA, forget eavesdropping, I just heard that it has been reported
that domestic surveillance is 98% ineffective, then stop doing it.

8. Good for your sister
And good for you, MissWaverly. As frustrating as it is when someone seems oblivious to the facts right in front of her face, you never know what's going to sway opinion. Stay in contact, stay in relationship, and keep adding facts. Sooner or later, something is bound to resonate -- let's face it, this corrupt administration is so bad on so many issues and so many levels that something is going to catch even the most hidebound person's attention.

The 2006 elections are coming up. We'll take every vote we can get.

10. thanks it's hard
I think that is because they are constantly lowering expectations, Martin Luther King
said "I have a dream." Let's go back to building a better country for all and not
a bunker. Let's start going for the country we want with democracy coming home to the USA.

11. I second!
Well done, Miss Waverly! I hope we each can emulate your example and achieve the same success, it would be great to gain 85,000 converts. Hopefully we can keep compounding that success until no one would be left to vote for the republiCONs, OK maybe I am a little carried away-but you know what I mean!

A person can hope...

12. one thing I have learned
no matter how knowledgeable you are, use other sources to make your points, magazines,
books, etc. I gave the 2 dittoheads across the street, my copies of Vanity Fair, they
might just read the articles on critiques of Bush along the the other articles.

13. Divisiveness is here right now.
Besides, there are things which transcend even divisiveness.

There is REAL DAMAGE that has been done to the country, damage that will take years and proabably a few administrations to correct or mitigate.

Every once in a while, there's an administration that MUST be corrected. Harding's Teapot Dome and Nixon's Watergate come to mind.

Now, there's an administration that's fundamentally changing the definition of a President's powers. If nothing is done, soon, it may be too late.

I remember when John Edwards said Hope was on the Way and it was stolen away from us,
I hope that impeachment for both the Prez and VP is on its way.
