Totally USELESS Dems. I am sick of them being on TV ( MTP)
Even Russert gave them the opening about Bush lying once again to the American people about wiretaps. And the Dems STILL would not come out and say directly that the President once again lied to or even misled the American people when he said nothing had changed about the requirement to get court approval about wiretaps. Russert showed the film clip of Bush saying that right at the time he was circumventing the courts. It was a lie then and it is still a lie! Daschale and the nitwit woman would not even state the obvious with the evidence shown to millions. I am sick of these Dems who are not smart enough or courageous enough to speak the truth...not to power...but to the American people.

2. Why is it that they're so averse to saying the obvious?
Bush LIED.
American kids are dying in Iraq for NO GOOD reason.
Bush is BREAKING the LAW.
The Republican Congress is CORRUPT.
Our health care system is KILLING people.

etc. etc. There is no need to make a speech with all kinds of fine print and qualifiers.

6. Agreed. Plain talk, honest ideas. Then stand by what ya say.
I think American voters are just famished for something like that. Certainly progressives are. :(

3. Dean did well on Face the Nation, though.
He even had a few slips of the tongue; saying that if Cheney got Scooter to leak Plame's name that "the President" should be impeached. :-)

5. That's exactly why I'm glad Daschle lost his seat.
Unfortunately, he doesn't appear to have learned anything from that experience.

Exactly how can having an extra republican in the senate make you happy? I see this mentality on here all the time.

11. Daschle spent his time in Bush's rose garden
practicng his napoleonic waterloo. Daschle caved, laid down and let the fraudulent, treasonous, chickenhawk republicans wipe their shoes on him. Now he thinks he should consider running for president. Delusional, but we knew that when he agreed more often than not with bush. The people of his home state voted for the real republican. Let that be a lesson.

Me too. Who wants legislators that are civil, honest, and trying to do the nation's business?

9. Hehe
Last week I called several Dem Senators and politely told them, "For lack of better words, the Democrats need to really GET A SPINE because they're the ONLY ones who will be able to save our country..."

17. I'm glad you posted this rant..
is there some way we can mount a plea to those that own this board to communicate to their associates in Washington who are connected to party leadership - that there is a huge problem that needs to be addressed and right now and serious corrective measures need to be made immediately in terms of television and other media appearances.

It is excruciatingly painful to watch yet another election cycle be spun by the usual suspect who are completely and utterly clueless. This was an excrutiating agonizing debachle during the Kerry campaign - and here we are watching it all over again. it's a nighmare on hill street being replayed over and over and over again.

we need strong voices like the Howard Dean's and the Russ Feingold's and a few others that do not tout these terrible policie shell games and propaganda on tv.

Is there anyone here that will please communicate these concerns to the party leadership right now?

Please please please please please, i beg you, please do it now with utmost urgency.

www.justicefornone, fax and scream. I think some people are so brain-dead that no matter what, they have just given up.

22. I know. That is one of those instances that cannot be explained away as
"misspeaking" or having "inaccurate information". It was a clear and intentional lie. LIE. And what's worse- he was lying about his own criminal conduct, and his effort to undermine civil liberties.

If they can't call THAT a lie, they'll never be able to call anything such.
