Interesting that it happened yesterday.. they must have figured out that between all the hospital personnel etc. they couldn't realistically keep it quiet anymore.

2. I love how yahoo news has a much longer story than CNN
They like took a snip of the AP story on CNN and yahoo had this huge page. They don't like it that their leader looks bad.

4. Must have been
a "sobering" experience for the Veep!
We have all sorts of discussion of the Shrub's drinking and have totally overlooked the fact that this guy has a record of at least one drunk driving charge. Maybe he has been "hitting" it again. Plenty of "hunting" trips are glorified drinking bouts.

7. They need to pry thay rifle
out of his cold dead hands.

With all the meds he's on, he shouldn't be anywhere near a weapon.

11. The putz is blaming the VICTIM, swear to Jeeeeeebus!!!!!
Check this shit out!!
...
Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong told the Associated Press in an interview...
"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by god, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."

..."It broke the skin," she said. "It knocked him silly. But he was fine. He was talking. His eyes were open. It didn't get in his eyes or anything like that."

She said emergency personnel traveling with Cheney tended to Whittington, holding his face and cleaning up the blood.

"Fortunately, the vice president has got a lot of medical people around him and so they were right there and probably more cautious than we would have been," she said. "The vice president has got an ambulance on call, so the ambulance came."
