How is the corporate media handling the Cheney shooting?
I'm a longtime corporate news boycotter, and refuse to break my boycott, even for this. Are they covering it? If so, are they spinning it for the real preznit? How? I know they're not allowed to criticize ANYTHING these jerks do, but jeez.....this is too much.

8. It's all Whittington's fault.
Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 04:37 PM by cornermouse
There they were out there stalkin' and huntin' so when Whittington decided to move forward, he didn't yell out to Cheney that he was moving. Cheney swung around, loaded and ready for b'ar...er quail.. and he just naturally pulled the trigger. Never mind that when you're out there hunting, you're supposed to look for a clear shot, unobstructed by your fellow hunters, innocent bystanders, livestock, or huntin' dogs before you shoot.

As a responsible hunter, Cheney is blaming Whittington. :eyes: I believe Yahoo has a story about it.

11. Are you serious?
Cheney's blaming his victim? We are truly in the twilight zone. Do you have a link?

Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong told the Associated Press in an interview.

"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by god, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."

Like I said that's where gun safety comes in. I was taught that, basically, you take a good look and stay aware of your surroundings before you shoot. Obviously, Cheney didn't do that.
