Iran plans to knock out
U.S. with 1 nuclear bomb

Don't scoff. Don't even dare. Who needs radiation when EMP would far, far more cruel? (think about it; no electricity. No electronics. No car. No NOTHING.)

And do you think Iran WOULDN'T try something so audacious? They freely and openly drool over wanting to "blow Israel off the map".

6. Why?
(an acutal response wouldn't come amiss. Especially when DUers whine about "comfort lovers" and then read this from their site.

Doesn't mean I'm missing out on something, but I've seen nothing that confirms the site as right-wing. Not yet. But "um yeah" isn't a response. One way or the other. It's a nice :kick: to get the message back up to the top though. :)

Yep, ultraright wing...

Doesn't mean I'll discount what they say as utter poppycock... but as with all sites, I won't take it blindly at face value either.

15. Gimme a break.
The Iranian prez is a nutcase but he can't touch you 'cos hasn't even got one nuke yet.

This is just propaganda to make you feel better when Iran is bunker-busted in June this year.

(My prediction).

16. There's that "no one imagined" lie again...
" (Sen. John) Kyl (R-AZ) concluded in his report: "The Sept. 11 commission report stated that our biggest failure was one of 'imagination.' No one imagined that terrorists would do what they did on Sept. 11. Today few Americans can conceive of the possibility that terrorists could bring our society to its knees by destroying everything we rely on that runs on electricity. But this time we've been warned, and we'd better be prepared to respond." "

21. Watch out for Joseph Farah
He writes a lot of cyber candy for the fanatical end timers. I looked into him before -- can't find all my old links, but from what I remember he is an Arab Christian fundamentalist who created WorldNetDaily. He writes a lot of hyperbole about Al Qaeda using dirty nukes (see: "The Al Qaeda Connection") , etc. He was behind a lot of the misinformation about Kerry, and he also wrote a lot of crazy stuff about Y2K as being Clinton's plan for New World Order. He sometimes criticizes Bush when he perceives Bush as not catering to the Christian fanatics.

He wrote a book, "Taking America Back," something related to establishing a Christian theocracy in the US. Some call him a Christian Zionist because of his strong alliance with Jewish Zionists and his denial of a Palestinian state (he writes that there is no Islamic connection to Jerusalem) and from what I recall, he falls into perhaps the Dominionist or Reconstructionist category.

Anyway, just food for thought.

22. It Is A Right Wing Site, And Farah Is A RW'er
That being said, the EMP is a real risk.

If some nation or terrorist were to obtain a nuke and the ability to detonate it at a high altitude, the scenario described in Farah's piece is fact.

Now, is it likely to happen?

No one did it to us in the cold war, MAD.

Submarine launched counterattack should be as much of a checkmate as any country would need.

A terrorist group though? Who Would Bush Attack Next?

N. Korea
Iran
Syria

N. Korea has the nukes
Iran might in 5-10 years unless they obtain one from China, which could happen if they are cutting an oil deal.

Attacking a country because of a terrorist action is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

We need to secure our borders. Have better intel (real intel) about terror organizations and their capabilities and assets.

I wouldn't trust Farah to know, but who knows. I think he's the Wayne Madsen of the Right
