They had one republican guy and a democratic guy running for Congress. The republican guy was very smirky and had that very prideful look on him. He wasn't rude or anything like that but he still had the smile that turns you off. Of course he's from Texas so he thinks he's going to really win. The democratic guy (Andrew Horne) was very poliet and just answered question's that came to him. And with the republican he was asked how he could be a democrat and he said that Bush will be an assiate to him and than turns around and says he's ready to get traditional republicanism back to Congress. Less spending, government out of people's lives and "traditional" family values. :eyes: The democratic guy talked about how the people were getting fed up with the republicans and he's just going to do the old fashioned campaigning and grassroots efforts. One republican called in and talked to Mr. Horne about how they visited with their rep about the Iraq war and they refused to listen and he said he was very excited about Mr. Horne since he too has a long line of military people in his family. The host asked him who he voted for in 2004 and the guy said "someone who wasn't a republican." Horne said the Congress should be independent and should be asking question's etc. It wasn't too bad and you should try to check it out on the archives at
http://www.c-span.org Oh and if you go to 27:25 a republican guy calls in about, guess what? GUN CONTROL! Just to Horne and not the other guy. :eyes: Oh brother! Out of all the things to worry about he asks about GUN CONTROL and the NRA!!! OY!
Horne said he just thinks we should follow the laws we already have. The other guy, his last name is Taylor, said he was pro-gun and he joined the NRA at age sixteen (can you do that??), bought his first rifle at age eighteen, he and his wife both own guns and go shooting in their backyards Sunday morning (what no church?). He's a big defender of the second amendment and will fight in Washington to ensure that our freedoms and rights are not infringed upon (gee I'm sure he's anti Roe v Wade too).
