Was Cheney hunting "The Most Dangerous Game?"
Is that why he and his cronies have started buying reclusive properties? Why the WH is so adamant about holding people perpetually, without charge or even letting anyone know they are holding anyone at all? Why they are so insistent on being allowed to do whatever they want to "enemy combatants?"

And if so, how much of a head start do you think he gives his prey?

Remember, Cheney does have a bum ticker. Can't expet the old fella to go traipsing about the pasture trying to snag a shot at some overly energetic 2nd string staffer.

2. That's what the OP is satirically referring to. "The Most Dangerous Game"
is an old short story about people hunting humans.

5. Glad you liked it.
There was a really funny piece in the Onion a while back. Not on Cheney, but on a rich guy who decided to try out the "Most Dangerous Game" thing when a luxury cruiser with 20 people shipwrecked on his private island.

But he was disappointed. Most of the "prey" kept returning to the house to see if he'd left the door unlocked, died of exposure and starvation within a day or so, or demanded to have something called a "Tribal Council Meeting" so they could vote people off the island. Rich guy decided to go back to hunting tigers.

4. Don't be silly. People shoot back.
You really think a Chickenhawk is going to have any part of that? Notice they weren't hunting grizzly bears, mountain lions, wolves, Bigfoot, or any other animal that could hurt them.

6. True.
Any signs the prey, er, I mean, this unfortunate lawyer, had his ankles tied together, or had on a blindfold, or something similar to handicap him?

7. there was a story
on the net years back that said he did this very thing. Some woman who claimed to be a sex slave of a group of the very rich. It seemd totally bizarre at the time - though she did state in the article how well - er - endowed - Dick was - which is seemingly true.

She wrote about Dick and Daddy Bush - sex, drugs, hunting people - very very weird stuff.

10. I think he just got sick of other people
Doing his killing for him. And as usual with this bunch of bumbling sociopaths, he fucked it up.

I expect Gonzalez to be arguing in front of Congress that Smirky has the right to strangle anyone he wants, since he's a president during wartime. Of course, they'll have to tie the victim down, fill him full of drugs, then have someone show smirky where to put his hands.

12. I just read that short story on Saturday.
I dug out the Norton intro to Literature to read some stories that I hadn't read since Jr. High, so imagine my eerie surprise hearing about Cheney's shooting spree. Has anyone actually seen Cheney's trophy room? :scared:
