How much compensation will Cheney have to make?
Am really interested. In the UK, Cheney's victim is reported to be a lawyer. How much can you sue for being "peppered" from a distance of less than 20 yards, in the face? How much more will the lawyer be offered "not to make a fuss"?

2. Uh, in this country, Cheney doesn't give to people...
... people give to Cheney. That's the way it works. The victim is a long time Bush-Cheney crony and Republican contributor. If he lives, he won't make a fuss. If he doesn't, it won't matter.

Remember the exchange between Milo Minderbender and Yossarian about Nately in Catch-22.

4. I doubt that Whittington will pass up the opportunity to make money -
or am I being unfair?

5. Republicans rarely eat their own...
... and while it happens, on occasion, it's not often. Whittington probably won't even ask for miscellaneous medical costs.

Exceptional tribal loyalty in these Republican Texans, you know. :)

7. None. GOP will add an addendum to the Aspestos bill making it illegal
for people injured by VPs to sue.
