NRA Revokes Cheney's Membership - Cites "Incompetence"

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - NRA President Charlton Heston, you know, the "Get your hands off of me, you damn, dirty ape!" guy, has revoked the membership of Vice President Dick Cheney, citing "Incompetence, recklessness and general cluelessness". This is the only known case of the NRA ever revoking the membership of one of its members. When asked about this unprecendented move, Heston commented "Well, we've had our share of bumbling idiots in the past. Hunters that shoot each other, people that shoot themselves when cleaning their guns, and the like. But we've never had a sitting war Vice President put all of these other idiots to shame like this. I mean, you have to be pretty much brain dead to fire a shotgun at a bird at ground level. That is the first lesson any newbie hunter learns," said Heston. "Frankly, we are embarrassed that someone who claims to be so 'manly and tough' doesn't even know the first thing about how to handle a gun," admitted Heston. "I mean, he didn't even kill the guy. .28 gauge? Does that come with a skirt, high heels and a bra?"
