AT THE VERY LEAST, he/she would've been drawn and quartered

I am so sick of the double standard in this country. You can do whatever you want as long as you have an R behind your name. :wtf:

4. We'd be hearing about those fake body counts
Remember when they accused the Clintons of "offing" people they didn't like throughout the 90's? We'd be hearing that crap.

7. If a Dem VP shot someone the pressure
to resign would be intense. Repukes would, at the very least, call for a full investigation and an independent prosecutor, but I don't think it would reach that stage because the outcry about having an "unstable" person as VP repeated day and night by an army of rw talking heads and politicians would be so overwhelming that I'm sure the Dems would cave and a resignation would be forthcoming.

Since Cheney was the culprit, expect the corporate whores to let the story die after a few days (assuming the victim continues to recover and the hospital continues to put out Rove-ordered bulletins proclaiming him to be in great shape and good spirits despite being in the ICU with multiple wounds.)

8. It seems that the running joke around DU is true.
Bu$h could feast on a live baby on live TV that the press would say he did it with such gravitas. Now we see the headline that our VICE PRESIDENT SHOT someone. He SHOT SOMEONE and they covered it up for over a day, had a private citizen announce it to the local press, and apparently it's no big deal. If Al Gore had, I don't know, SHOT SOMEONE, he would have been forced to resign. The double standard is so incredible. :grr:
