What I learned from Scotty's press briefing today:
Edited on Mon Feb-13-06 02:40 PM by KzooDem
1) The emphasis was on Mr. Whittington getting the medical attention he deserved.

2) You'll need to talk to the secret service about that....

3) You'll need to direct that question to the VP's office...

4) Information is still coming in about everything.

Can the STUPID FUCK answer even ONE question??? OMG....he's not answering ANYTHING. The briefing was a fucking DISASTER, LOL.

Spin, Scotty, Spin...

1. You know what I learned....
There is something rotten in Denmark with this shooting situation. Why wait 22 hours...Scotty couldn't even begin to come up with any sensible answer to that simple question.

2. Yep, if it was a strait story they would have announced it
last Saturday. They're covering up something, as usual.

4. Why they were "fact gathering".
Didn't you know that?

Gee, they had to "fact gather" with all sorts of folks. Like Cheney, for example. You know, he's such a busy guy, defendin us from terraists. And then there's Whittington. He was in intensive care, so of course he was unavailable.

(sarcasm off)

3. He was probably dilighted to talk about a hunting accident
It sure beats talking about Cheney's role in fixing intelligence to fit the policy.

6. The INSANE part of it was that there's absolutely no conflict between ...
... getting medical attention for Whittington and informing people about the shooting! In fact, if anything, any efforts to keep it quiet would be CONTRARY to obtaining medical attention for Whittington!!

Every time Scotty scurried for cover with that incantation, I was going "WTF!?!" At best, that answer was completely and totally irrelevant!

Once upon a time, I would've regarded such an answer as insulting to the intelligence of the audience. I'm no longer sure the intellignece of the audience can be insulted.

I'm wondering if this fellow is more seriously injured
than they are letting on. I heard on AAR news that Whittington's daughter said her father would not be talking to the press. I've read posts here by experienced hunters or quoting experienced hunters and they all say it was Cheney's fault. Some posts with remarks by physicians indicate that the injuries sustained may be more serious than indicated: after all, if pellets hit the fellow's neck, a vital artery could have been nicked or damaged.

8. I would have love to have seen scotty's face when he actually
learned about it. Can you imagine??

"Cheney WHAT. He SHOT A GUY??"

No wonder why thy waited to tell any one. How on earth did they think they could spin Cheney shooting a guy? Oh that's right. Mr. Whittington was feeling suicidal. Instead of suicide by cop, it was suicide by Veep...and even with that Cheney was incompetent. :eyes:

9. When do you think they're just going to do away with the press briefings?
I fully expect them to come out one day and say that it's a terrorism risk to brief the press on anything, and the press will no longer be welcome at the White House.
