Local Station ABC Affiliate says Wittington won't be out of hospital today |
|
Just heard this. Sounds like it's more serious than first thought.
That should keep the story alive another day so that the other details can come out...like why was Cheney hunting with the female Abmbassador to Switzerland and why both of them were with other women than their wives. "IF" there's a story there..."IF."

4. Usually they push you out of the hospital as fast as possible... |
|
so this must be more serious than is being reported.

8. If someone is serious enough to need ICU, it's unusual for them to be |
|
discharged home directly from there. Usually watched at least a day on the regular ward to make sure they are doing okay before discharge.
This is not to say that this NEVER happens, but usually in the setting of some kind of elective major surgery.

12. It also takes time to dig out all the buckshot. |
|
My dog was shot by a neighbor for a few days ago and it was a major pain to try to dig out all the shot. He still has a lot of it in his body.

With Cheney's heart condition and likely numerous medications, I'd always assumed that he was impotent.

18. On the ambassador - more questions... |
|
Why was she there? She is reportedly a friend of Laura's. Why is no one reporting that she was there besides Cox? http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?p=pamela+willeford&datesort=1&fr=&x=wrtShe reports that her husband (a doctor) said that Whittington had a 'twinkle in his eye'. When did her husband arrive? Was he there all along? http://www.western-star.com/news/content/shared/news/nation/stories/2006/02/CHENEY_SHOOTING_0213_COX.htmlI still have many more questions than answers. That is what happens when you have 24 hour gaps.

19. I thought the thing about her "husband" being there was a cover.... |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-13-06 03:25 PM by KoKo01
and that it only came out in one news source, Cox makes it even more interesting.
I think they could be worried about the "women" being there...for all the questions it would raise. That's why I posted the thread with the Ambassador's picture figuring we should keep this alive...because if it was Kerry or Gore the RW'ers would be on it 24/7.

Ann Armstrong was ambassador to the Court of St. James (England) back in the 70's.
She is the owner of the Armstrong Ranch.
Her daughter's name is Katharine Armstrong, and I believe she's the one who's been doing the speaking for the family.
I don't think there's any special mystery about the company present except for further confirmation that the super-rich party only with each other.

One news service is reporting that the current Swiss ambassador was the third hunter present for the shooting. No one else is reporting, and it is getting very interesting. Anne Armstrong may be very close to 80 years old, not that there is anything wrong with that. Katharine (sp) Armstrong is the daughter of Anne, and was a witness in the car. The Swiss ambassador (Pamela Willeford) was out of the car with Cheney according to the one news service. Hope this is helpful, it is very confusing.

26. Got it. Sorry for the confusion. |

FWIW, Pam and George Willeford (he's a psychiatrist) were Republicans in Texas back when there were only a handful of them.
Among the very few others were Tobin and Anne Armstrong, Kaye and Ray Hutchison and, of course Poppy and Bar Bush.
This was long before the religious right took over the Texas Rethuglican Party, and these people were often mentioned in the newspapers because anytime something came up about their party, they were the ones quoted.
They almost dominated what passed for the Austin paper's society pages.
It sounds to me like this was a house party of longtime Rethuglican friends, and if anyone was an outsider, it would have been Cheney.
