1. Here was my idea last night
Every time I see those Verizon Wireless commercials - the ones where someone buys a cell phone and walks outside only to be greeted by thousands of support technicians - I envision the throng wearing NSA jackets. It just seems like a natural to do a commercial or cartoon captializing on this familiar scenario.

I'm not artistic. If you (or anyone else) can do something with my idea - go for it.

2. I've got an acquaintance who does indy films...
I was gonna ask him to do a similar "viral" commercial like that. :-)

Let's ridicule them into surrender!

17. This isn't from an ad
but it is from television. If you or your friend could get some "Frasier" clips of Kelsey Grammar saying "I'm listening" and put a fake NSA background I think it might work.

19. That's why he and his show came to mind
Just did a quick search and came up with this.

Kelsey Grammer, star of the hit TV show "Frasier," says he would like to run for political office some day – including, perhaps, the U.S. Senate in the state of California.

Grammer made the announcement for the first time tonight on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."

Grammer said he is a Republican.

21. I've done the VISA spoof...It's hilarious...
I need somewhere to post it though so that I can link it in here.

Also the link for the NSA Wireless ad died so that one needs a new home also.

I can send it to you via email if you like. Contact me and send me your email if you would like a copy.

6. "Doh!" Calling features I forgot:
Sorry posted in the wrong place..

"GPS Enabled" calling
All calls "three way" calling

Any other good features?

A friend of mine suggested also that it should include a free camera phone, but NSA gets to decide when to "take the pictures"...

3. Does anyone remember that poster from the 1990s?
The caption was "NSA: We Listen to Our Customers"

The graphic showed a housewife chatting away on the phone, while in a dark location, a spook wearing a trench coat is listening with headphones.

I think the poster was made by RSA security during one of those times they were under heavy pressure by the NSA for trying to commercialize strong cryptography.

4. Forgot about that but good also..
I remember there used to be an EF Hutton (brokerage) parity that simply said "We listen" because the old ad went When EF Hutton talks, people listen.
