STOP talking about Cheney!

This whole Cheney story may be fascinating, etc....but, let's stop making such a big fuss over it. It's taking our time away from the war, the economy, medicare, social security, human rights, the tax cuts, etc!

This issue won't matter to Red Staters...if anything, all it does is confirm to them that Cheney is a real man, a man who is just like them..a man who hunts! They love hunters!

And, some of them have probably been in the same situation - or, almost had an accident happen - so they can empathize. And, they will.

This is a good distraction...one that plays well for them and does nothing to help us.

Even in the reality-based world, people often get convicted not for the big crime, but for lying about it or not declaring illegal income or stolen money on their taxes. eg. They take responsible hunting very seriously. The guy was in critical condition, life threatening condition. You don't get flown to a trauma center, spend days in ICU, if its not critical. And every hunter in this country would be under the same investigation if they'd done this, it was a negligent shooting, pure and simple.
