Rove Threatens Anti-Wiretapping Republicans
I must have gotten on their email list somehow, will rectify that, BUT this did catch my eye:

From www.newsmax.com:

Rove to Senators: Clear Bush or Else

White House Deputy Cheif of Staff Karl Rove has threatened to blacklist any Republican who votes against President Bush in the Senate Judiciary Committee's investigation of the administration's unauthorized wiretapping.

Being blacklisted would mean an end to any White House political or financial support for Senators running for re-election this year, sources told Insight magazine.

"It's hardball all the way," one GOP Congressional aide declared.

1. Is Fitz in the house?
This sure sounds like obstruction of justice ...

As for "... an end to any White House political support," that sounds like an INCENTIVE rather than a threat.

Republicans are already trying to distance themselves from BushCo - how many will SCRAMBLE to be 'blacklisted', just so they don't have to tell Bushie to his face this year, "Yeah, I know you're a busy guy, so please don't feel you have to come down and campaign for me ..."

2. This started about two weeks ago, Rove went to the hill and
Threatened Rep-ughs to support Bu$h. He told them he would withhold RNC support and Bu$h support. I think it's time for Rep-ughs to let the country know that they support their country over their party.

3. They are VERY frightened, if this is so.
Good test for the libertarian elements of the GOP.

Lets see if they really are "Reaganites". Even Ron would puke here.

I believe it though. Makes sense.

Cause when they go down, it is for the count.

They know it too.

Joe
