Cheney and his handlers must have expected the Whittingtons to cover it up |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-13-06 07:01 PM by bigtree
that's why Bush didn't speak up. That's why they held disclosure until the family broke the story.

1. I don't think so - I think the ranch owner waited until |
|
the guy who was shot was stable and Cheney was sober and a 'proper' press release was prepared...

8. Bingo!! That, and the picture in his and |
|
his posse's minds of Americans sitting down all over the country over a leisurely breakfast eyeballing the story on the tube AND the Sunday paper.
Thanks for bringing this up, skylarmae

2. I think Cheney asked EVERYBODY there to keep it quiet! |
|
I know the story is that the owner of the Ranch reported it, but I'm still betting that some reporter, checking the police and hospital reports from over night found info on a gunshot, and somebody tipped off the ranch owner that the story was about to get out. She called Cheney's office, and they threw together a sotry for release.
I think he really thought he could keep this baby out of the press completely!

7. I'll bet they pressured the hospital staff to keep quiet too |
|
I wonder how many people were 'silenced' around this, both within and outside of the administration?

3. The banks don;t open until Monday! |
|
Cheney had to wait for the money to pass hands before the story broke.
Cheney needed money in the bank to buy Whittingtons silence.

9. The family didn't break it |
|
The owner of the ranch did. And they were waiting until they knew whether the guy died or not. This is a total cover up and I don't even think we've got the half of the story yet.

10. Cheney doesn't have handlers. |
|
He has minions. Or operators. Button men. Hatchet men.
That sort of thing.

12. Brains? He has a reputation for Mean. |
|
He's been wrong about absolutely everything, so I don't see much of a case for brains.
