And in regards to Simpson's ridiculous comments: One, it wasn't Cheney's ranch. Two, ole Crashcart is the VP, not a private citizen, and it's news when he's got gas or a bad leg, much less shoots someone and puts them in an ICU. Three, hunting stocked quail at a dude ranch weekend has absolutely nothing to do with the wild, wild West, as much as they may try to evoke that image. Cheney's a fat aging soft CEO type, not a rugged outdoorsman or Davy Crockett.

Man, it must look bad even to them if they're working this hard to explain away the story.
