2006 - The Year of GOP scandals |
|
This is the year, folks. More GOP crime is going to come to light in this year than all years before combined!

2. This is going to be a good year, when our worst enemies take it... |
|
Consider this: Even if Democrats do not gain a majority of seats in November (I think it's going to depend on how far-reaching these scandals are) we are going to be rid of some of the people that, well... we would like to be rid of.
-Bill Frist is definitely retiring, and will no longer be Senate Majority Leader. -Rick Santorum will get pounded like a Whack-a-Mole if he faces Bob Casey in an election. -Since he's practically humped Jack Abramoff's leg in the past, Georgia may finally get rid of Ralph Reed...for good! -Tom Delay finally behind bars?...we'll see. -The Governator is screwed, once his opponent hangs Bush around his neck (though I think having him as a high-profile Republican kind of helps us.) -Anywhere from 3-20 Congressmen and aides involved in the Abramoff scandal. -The only Senate challenge in the South is from...Katherine Harris! *evil laugh*
And then there are all the scandals in Ohio, and Bernie Sanders is running in Vermont. This will be a good year for progressives, whether Democrats win huge...or just big.
