A comment from Harry Whittington's coming any minute now, right? RIGHT????

I mean, nothing could be preventing him from telling us his account of what happened.

After all, he's in stable condition, and "doing extremely well" according to the hospital administrator. (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=1614375)

1. Yeah, and when is "Duck" Cheney gonna have a press conference?
I mean, he should at least explain what happened, tell his side of the story and give a public apology to Mr. Whittington.

2. His face might be a tad sore and all
Might have some trouble talking? Also, stable does not rule out lots of pain meds.

3. He could fly the coop...
...but I think he's pretty well caged. If he threatened them in any way, he could take a sudden turn for the worse.

5. Have there been any photos of him
or are they going to wait until the face transplant heals?

6. It seems that our so-called liberal media has had few interviews
regarding this incident. Shouldn't they be staking out the sheriff's office and sticking a microphone in front of the deputy who went out to the ranch? How about the hospital that admitted the shooting victim? I know they can't reveal patient confidentiality, but they can at least explain whether or when they reported a gunshot wound and to whom, as that is a matter of public record.

7. "I would just like to say what a tremendous honor it was
to be shot by the Vice-President of these United States. God Bless America." *sniff*

8. He can't discuss operational details.
And just the fact that we're discussing this here is aiding the terrorists.

Why do you hate freedom?

9. If he has any brain cells left
he will - in true Republican fashion - march himself down to the courthouse upon his release from the hospital and file a civil suit against Cheney, the ranch owner, all the insurance companies involved, the secret servce members preset when the shooting occurred, and the US government that employed them. I'm guessing he's seeing some mighty big dollar signs about now.

11. Apparently, he's in better condition than before he was shot...
He's had an "excellent" night, he's sleeping great and the ICU was just like his living room.

Heck, Dickie did him a favor, things are just working out great for him....when he issues a statement, it will be an expression of gratitude for this fabulous experience. MKJ

14. What is the problem? 78, shot, and in an ICU
Life is a party for him .... pretty nurses, pain killers in an I.V. drip,
and reconstructive plastic surgery ..... wow the man is on EZ street.

I hear Dick isn't going to press charges against him
for the way he sneaked up behind him.
