May I get mushy in DU for a moment

since it is almost Valentine's Day? The current administration is doing its best to drain us of our hope, joi de vivre, and natural trust and empathy for our fellow human beings.

Fortunately, I teach elementary school. I learn these things daily from the masters. A couple of days ago, my students started bringing me little gifts. They are "poor" or "disadvantaged", so usually the gifts were handmade, and very sweet. One rough and tumble little boy who is prone to fighting on the playground occasionally, placed a chocolate truffle on my desk.

When I asked, rhetorically, "Why am I getting all these nice gifts?" One little girl, very seriously, raised her hand and said, "I think it's because they love you."

This is what human beings are like naturally, my friends.:loveya:

20. aw :) my husband had his mom deliver roses from him--they were on my

pillow with a card when i got home from playing pool...

i cried... i was really dreading spending tomorrow alone, and the fact that he took the time to arrange that was really thoughtful...
