"Bradys 'dancing in blood' over Cheney **MISHAP**, group says"
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 12:37 AM by Bluebear
"We can't imagine how badly Cheney must feel about this accident. On the other hand, we no longer have to imagine just how low Jim and Sarah Brady can sink. They have raised dancing in blood to a fine art," concluded Waldron.

(CNSNews.com) - A gun rights group Monday blasted founders of a leading gun control group for making fun of Vice President Dick Cheney's shooting accident in Texas on Saturday.

Sarah Brady, co-founder of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said she always "thought Cheney was scary" and now she knows she had a "right to be nervous." Jim Brady, also co-founder of the Brady Campaign, said, "Now I understand why Dick Cheney keeps asking me to go hunting with him."

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) said Monday the Bradys are trying to "make political hay" of the accident, in which Cheney's hunting companion, Harry Whittington, was injured.

"Poor taste is poor taste, no matter who utters it," said CCRKBA Executive Director Joe Waldron. "Only Jim Brady would be allowed by the mainstream press to make such a crude and crass comment and not be called down for it. I am appalled that the Bradys chose to make such sarcastic, self-serving remarks about a hunting accident."

2. Actually, Amendment II Democrats has a more elegant solution...

While the CCRKBA seems content to throw feces, the webmaster for Amendment II Democrats (moi) will offer Dick Cheney $100 to enroll in a basic firearms safety class next time he's in Dallas, TX.

Will post the details on the site once they're finalized...

3. Bashing the Bradys is wrong
They have suffered too much to be celebrating the misfortune of others.

Having said that, there are other gun control people who seem to always jump to conclusions everytime something bad happens with a gun. Often they will jump to conclusions and demand ever more laws before all the facts are in.

8. Bullshit...
as a Democrat or a liberal everything the NRA and the rest of those gun stand for is everything I would be against, if there is any opening to rough them up verbally and make them look bad...I say go for it.

As for Brady and Cheney, Brady is a victim, Cheney is a perpetrator. Brady to me has a much more credible position to be critical of Cheney!

6. I knew they'd do this.
They're going to try to make it seem as if all the hubbub is from the anti-gun people.

7. The wingnuts pile on the victim, blaming him for his own shooting.
But the Bradys went too far?

Brady's followup was priceless: "I had a friend once who accidentally shot pellets into his dog - and I thought he was an idiot."
