There's only one thing left to say about the Brown vs DeWine |
|
After what's happened with the Democratic Leadership throwing the money towards Brown as well as contacting Hackett's donors, they better damned well make it an absolute certainty that Brown wins against DeWine. Otherwise, every single one of the leadership should step aside the day after the election.

2. If he doesn't, I can't see any reason to trust anyone who's pushing this. |

4. But does Brown know how to frame? |
|
I still haven't seen any evidence that he does. Hackett was a framing machine.

5. And here's what DailyKos has to say about that: |
|
From Daily Kos:
"I just have one thing to say right now: Sherrod Brown better win this, and I hope that once Hackett's many supporters get over this disappointment, we can all work together this fall to make it happen.
At the end of the day, Chuck Schumer's not the enemy -- Mike DeWine is, as is every other Republican who stands between us and control of the Senate. Eyes on the prize, gang."

6. Not from Ohio, its a mind game for me, but I donated money to Hackett |
|
He brought a fresh mind to politics, and, what satisfied me, an anti-war fervor. I seem to remember that Brown couldn't be bothered to run against DeWine(and leave his safe House seat) until he got the drift that Hackett just might win. What happened to Hackett is typical of behavior in both parties. Politics is a game not for the faint hearted, or thin skinned, or honest. The older I get, the less I like what I see in national politics. I can not stomach a major part of the Democratic Party: The DLC. To top it off, is a current report on what seem obvious, but is now backed by solid analysis: the rightward slant of Sunday talk shows. The elected Democrats and me, as a member of the great unwashed mass, have so much stacked against them that becomes against the odds if Democrats win anything, not just some.
I hope Harry Reid and Summer kissed Paul Hackett, because they sure as shit fucked him.

I still think the leadership was right to ask Hackett to aim for the House seat, but if Brown loses, it's on them.
