that he had approximately 200 beads hit him. I note that his wounds were reportedly from the cheek down to the neck and shoulder. This indicates a closer shot than originally reported in the media. For the pattern to be that tight, and for there to be 80+ that cannot safely be removed, I think that VP Cheney has some explaining to do.

Dear ABC News,

In your 14 Feb 2006 article "White House Takes Heat Over Shooting
Disclosure" you describe the weapon Cheney was using to shoot quail (and
the poor Mr. Whittington) as a "pellet gun".

This is an outrageous distortion of the facts. At best, the use of
"pellet gun" here is Orwellian newspeak. The one and only way to
describe the gun Cheney shot Whittington is a "shotgun". What kind of
editors does ABC have who would allow such a ridiculous twisting of the
facts.

A correction needs to be published here.
