When do we get to see Whittington, hear his words?

Will the BFEE keep this man, his daughter, and other family members silent in perpetuity? Will we only see a picture of him when (if?) his face completely heals?

Is Whittington angry that this is being blamed on him? Will his anger outweigh his fear of Cheney or his promise of ill-gained perqs for his silence?

Will hospital staff leak any information about his real condition, or have their children already been threatened with death?

Do they have a good seal on this thing or not?

They spent nearly 24 hours getting the story together, and look how badly it's already off-kilter, listing, sinking. Maybe the old magic isn't working the way it always has in the past.

I'm not sure if his family or the hospital will make the statement.

I'm just glad the old dude isn't dead. He's probably looking and feeling really bad. The scars are not going to be pretty. Who knows what kind of complications there are from being blasted int he face with bird shot. Apparently, the shot can sometimes get into veins and arteries, travel and cause blockages leading to serious problems. :(

He was there, and I think he probably has a great many reasons to be angry about the massaging of the story and the resultant "reporting product". I think that had I been shot in the face and lived to tell about it, I would not appreciate being blamed for the incident to the national media and the American public as a whole.

Again, the questions I asked start with the word "when". I am making an interrogatory statement whose set of possible answers will include dates or timeframes. Note that none of the dates or timeframes requested are restricted to a subset called "right now" or "today" or "tomorrow" or even "real soon". I think it's possible that you're making the mistake that the first respondent to this thread made, namely, assuming I'm looking for the guy to talk right now/today/soon. If you'll look again, I'm sure you'll notice this facet of the questions in a new light.

And maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought I saw you elsewhere in these pages saying this was a non-story. If that wasn't you, I apologize for the mistaken identity. If it was you, I'm ponderous.

Seal on what? The dude's in the hospital. He'll get out. He'll either talk to the press or he won't. Given that he's a huge Bush/Cheney guy, he'll probably either say nothing or say "It was an accident" and have his photo taken with Dick on another hunting trip.
