2. Wonder if he will die in ICU of some infection. Maybe dude's dead
already, and in the ice box next to Usama.

7. I think he's already dead, too...
Sorry if that grosses you out - but these guys are setting us up for his death from "complications"

15. Nothing
Cheney feels "saddened and heartbroken" over the loss, but it was an unfortunate accident and he was old already.

That's how it's going to sound and he will get a free pass.

21. I think you give Cheney too much compassion. I doubt he feels
saddened and heartbroken over anything, even shooting a friend in the face. I don't think the guy has a heart. Color me cynical over this crowd in power.

19. I think he resigns if that happens.
I was just talking to a group of Republicans about this. We're all humoring each other, giving each side the occassional concession (they're my bosses, I have to!), but we were all saying that Cheney will be in no state to govern if he dies. Even the Repubs were saying Cheney would be shattered if this man dies, and that if he wasn't shattered, he's not fit to govern.

8. I'm just not buying this "30 yards" bullshit
I think the Times had it right when they said 30 feet, and the administration is trying to confuse everyone on the distance, deliberately substituting yards for feet.

Cheney turned around and shot an old man in the face from just a few feet away.

9. Game.Set.Match
Seems like our good friend Whittington isn't as "healthy and joking" that we are led to believe.

I think he is in much worse condition than they originally reported, which would explain his longer than usual stay in ICU given the "superficial" wounds that he recieved.

So the million dollar question is, why the coverup?

16. My money is on "yes"
Cheney was probably pissed about something which either led to his lack of safety skills or maybe he shot the old bastard in anger.

Who knows, but this thing stinks.

17. CNN just aired a Q&A with the DRs from Corpus hospital.
He was very clear with his explaination of patient's condition. BB moved & lodged in upper quadrant of the heart muscle. They don't intend to remove it as they don't believe it's going to be a problem. The heart muscle reacted to a foreign object and produced fibrulation. They will monitor him and treat him with medication.

20. Saying a minor heart attack
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 02:02 PM by malaise
won't help them because they told us he was 'fine' - 'very stable' and he is not. Why should anyone believe a word now? It's in the heart muscle so CNN better quit the fugging spin.

with anything? I seriously doubt it.

22. A perfect example of how incompetent this administration is.
Incompetent, careless and so unwilling to take any responsibility for ANYTHING. This poor guy happened to be in the presence of an arrogant, blustering idiot and is paying the ultimate price. And so is the rest of the world.
