If Cheney resigns, who will Bush pick for his replacement? |
|
With Whittington getting serious complications, this could be enough to cause Cheney to have to resign. If he does, who do you think will take his place?
Personally, I think the nod would go to Condi.

so he can "make history" as having had the first "black" (and "woman") vice president in US history . . .
Since she already has a cult following trying to get it to happen . . . and the incumbency normally helps the VP in the Pres campaign . . . but not always . . .

vp a repub. Not fair. 100 years of women's liberation fought only to be claimed by the biggest bunch of sexists to exist today.

That was my first thought. They have done nothing but try to send us back to the kitchen and they will end up with the credit for promoting women. Figures. :eyes:

Even if he blew the guys head clean off, Cheney wouldn't admit any wrongdoing and would dismiss this as an unfortunate accident.
This administration doesn't give a damn about anything, what would make them care enough to step aside over this?

10. Cheney will not resign unless forced. It would take "cartoon rioting." |
|
And then he still would not want to leave office.

Funny thing is, when my wife found about this debacle and watched Scotty at the press conference deferring everything to the VP's office, she said "Well, he runs this country anyway".
These guys are above the law (or at least they think they are) and don't give a damn about these minor inconvienances like the law or the constitution.

13. I prefer Ann Coulter, an intellectual equal of Bush. |

If we are going to fall into the septic tank lets dive all the way.
Who ever they pick will be an asswipe. Actually I suspect at some point they will effectively ignore the courts as they ignore Congress, the Constitutions and legal elections.

16. I think Rove & McCain have been working closely. No other reason |
|
why McCain has been such a lap dog the last 5 years. I mean - McCain has jumped on "two", that's right: two, issues in the last 5. Indian Casino people being hoodwinked by Abramoff and Torture. Both things a lid could not be kept on.
So I think it will be McCain. I think they want to kick Cheney out so he can take all of Bush's sins with him.
