1. They did something like this last night,
while MSNBC was having a shout fest about the shooting. It was unbelievable.

8. It's possible this is the same spot and they're re-running it
One hunter didn't take the shot and the reporter runs up and asks him why. The guy says, "Because it was behind us!"

4. Anchor's comments
at the end were: "Well, now that we have seen how the quail hunting SHOULD have gone..."

They're highlighting that stuff isn't adding up.

All the hunters in my office are laughing at the coverage of this so far. That has to be priceless. Who's doing it? Is Aaron Brown still on CNN?

6. Can't think of his name
It's not Brown. It's a black anchor.

Now they're talking with a doctor about 'birdshot lodged into the guy's heart' and the problems. Doc even said the guy might have died and been brought back. :wow:

11. I wonder if they used the ABC reconstruction?
ABC News had another one of their wonderful animated reconstructions of What Really Happened Saturday in Texas. I have to say that absent any real facts, it was a crackerjack production, showing exactly how Cheney would have come to shoot Whittington and not be at fault in any way.

Unfortunately, it suffered from the same critical flaw that their animation of the "rescue" of Private Kelly Lynch had a couple of years ago: Absolutely no facts to back it up. Back when the administration desperately wanted the perky private to be a public hero in Iraq, ABC produced a stirring animation showing helicopters landing near the hospital where she was being treate--er, held hostage. Special forces guys, wearing night vision goggles and trained in such matters, sneaked up on the hospital, dispatched various guards, nurses, doctors and innocent bystanders, found Pvt. Lynch and got her out of the hospital, loading her on one of the helicopters, gurney and all.

The truth was a little more prosaic, but damn if that wasn't some fine cheap animation.
