BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Star watchers want to know if George Clooney will bring Teri Hatcher as his date to the Academy Awards.

But, Clooney joked Monday that he's bringing Vice President Dick Cheney.

At the 25th annual Oscar luncheon in Beverly Hills, Clooney referred to Cheney's accident over the weekend where he shot a fellow hunter.

"It was so nice. He called up and invited me to go hunting," Clooney joked. "I was like, `Why don't you come as my date?"'

Back during the premier of Good Night, and Good Luck. He is much better looking in person, IMHO.
