What can be done for damage control: Re: Hackett?
I know that Hackett is bitter at Reid and Schumer for pushing him out (and in all honesty, I agree with him.) However, he has also said that he will continue to speak out politically, at least implying that he will still support other Democratic candidates. My only concern, however, is that his comments in his withdrawal speech will be used by the RW against us and they'll suddenly treat him like a saint (despite the fact that they have tried to swiftboat him) and use his word to blast "unpatriotic" Democrats. Is htere anyway that we could get Hackett to say, unequivocally, that he stills supports fighting the chickenhawks, and come out and say that we are not "anti-veteran" to squash a potential talkingpoint?

1. Even Waxman worked against him...
And Sherrod Brown's lickspittle Dan Lucas has been whispering about war crimes to Ohio county party heads. It's pretty bad.
