If YOU Shot a Man, and Sent Him to the ICU, Wouldn't You Stick Around?

Wouldn't you be at the hospital every day until he recovered? Would you really leave town the next day and go back to the office on Monday?

Or not even that, say you shot a man and sent him to the ICU, would you then drive back to the vacation ranch that night and have a big dinner with guests? And would you have a big quail lunch the next day before you flew home to your mansion?

Wouldn't you sit with the man in his hospital room while he recovered, offer your support to his family, and step before the cameras to own up to what you did, explain that you are devastated by the consequences and deeply sorry, and that you are praying for the speedy recovery of your friend.

I mean really, what would you do?

5. Well if you were talking about a person with natural empathy....yes
But we all know that the bionic ticker, pumps pure crude oil. No empathy for the old and the weak. Heartless.

7. A friend in a similar circumstance
that I can't talk alot about, was beside himself and still is. You don't actually go to the hospital because the family is a little miffed, to put it mildly, but accidents like these are usually life altering events. Cheney's reaction truly is heartless and bizarre.

18. Not everybody in the party was shooting?
There were only three people in the party - Cheney, Wittington, Willeford, and the ranch owner.

16. First, he had a final night with his mistress
Then he tried to think up a good reason why he's in Texas when he told his wife he was in the bunker working on "secret stuff I can't tell you about." He's probably genuinely surprised that anyone even cares how the victim is doing. That old guy is the farthest thing from Cheney's mind right now.

17. I would have expected him to stay there for better damage control
and because it would 'look good' but not because he cared.

Very good question. Who shoots someone like this and returns to work the next day?
