Has anybody from Whittington's family spoken out?

Hard to believe they would go along with this fiasco.

5. Or they've been compensated
handsomely or threatened. The ante will go up should Mr. Whittington expire, but so will the stakes for cheney.

6. Consider with whom they are dealing.
Then consider that even the cabal in the WH appears to fear Darth. No small accomplishment, that. Fear rules with them. Maybe that's why they're so intent on using fear as a tool to control the masses: It works with them, too!

9. Molly Ivins said Whittington was the only liberal Republican in Texas -

and Cheney shot him. Actually, Whittington has a pretty good record for a Republican. He was on the prison board and railed against the horrendous state of the Texas prison system. Molly Ivins said he's a good guy.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but will repeat it here. Whittington's daughter said today that her father can't remember anything about the accident. And that he didn't know if he was going to the hospital or the mortuary.

15. I'm sure they're invested, and like any crime family, will just cook
dinner and keep to themselves, waiting for it to blow over.

What kind of people would invite a neocon over for dinner?

12. I've been wondering about his Whittingtons family too...
How must it feel to have your loved one shot and to hear that it was his own fault for being in the way?
I realize this guy is deeply involved and invested in the Republican party but C'mon! The guy was shot...coulda died and is now suffering heart problems becasue of it!It can't be an easy thing to be a part of Whittingtons family and have to go along with the W.H. on this(if that's what they're doing).
