CNN to have report on new Abu Gareb photos coming up |
|
It';ll probably be a whitewash, and they probably won;t show them for reasons of "taste" or something.
But at least they're getting mentioned.
Coming up. 9:30

4. Barbara Starr said the rules of the military are: |
|
NO photo's are to be taken AT ALL except those taken by the military itself. Any others are strictly forbidden. These are obviously NOT authorized ones.
DOD said they knew there were probably 100's of pictures like this out there, and they're concerned that if they are shown in the Islamic world, they will incite riots!
Well, yea!
They wouldn't have to worry about pictures if there wasn't anything to take pictures of!

They are showing several of them.
Naked draped over a bed....Two naked guys handcuffed, a hooded guy holding a box.
Good for CMN for not pulling the blanket over their heads yet again.

6. Those are mild compared to some of the others. I worry they may be brushed |
|
off by many who feel that "some" torture maybe necessary to get terrorist info or dismissed as "old news".
These pics just have me more disgusted and angry... and these are supposedly not even the worst.

Mentioned the Australian TV show, and they showed three of the photos.
Barbara Starr said that the military had tried to keep them from public, but now that they're out in the international media and the Internet, they are spreading.
I think this is one of those hot potato stories the Am,erican networks would rather not cover, but they are being forced to because of the prevalence of outside information sources these days.

9. I truly hope so & that they pressure the WH to release the rest & answer |
|
WHY there was such mild punishments and WHY those further up the chain of command, that ALLOWED this and even encourged it to happen, haven't been truly prosecuted or punished.
::sigh:: Okay so once in a while I slip into one of my dearest dreams to a time when our country has some sort of decent system of justice for ALL.
