"Ha Ha Ha America", film short from Sundance – seen it? |
|
View here, it's about fifteen minutes long but worth it: http://festival.sundance.org/2006/watch/film.aspx?which=402&category=DOCI don't know whether to laugh or cry. "The only thing China not make is jobs for Americans." Cheney makes a special guest appearance!

You're laughing, but crying on the inside because it's so painfully true.
"Business Lesson # 1: Sell more than you buy. Maybe hillbilly get job at Wendy."
Of course, it isn't like all of the slave labor pictured in the video makes out hand-over-fist. They simply do our jobs for cheaper, but haven't seen much of a drastic improvement in THEIR lives because of it. So who wins on both sides? The rich. By offshoring jobs, nobody's lives improve EXCEPT THE RICH. So please, lurking freeps, stop with your dumb-assed "rising tide lifts all boats" Reaganite talking point.
The worst part is that there are people who wholeheartedly, and with a straight face, condone Dumberica's middle-class genocide by it's wealthy executives, calling anyone who disagrees "protectionists", "class warfarers", "commies", "alarmists", "Chicken Littles" and other such stupid shit. The new "Reagan Democrats" seem to be sucking the Free Market tit like a john to a car whore.
Hey, no one's SAYING "destroy Capitalism". Frankly, you can't really say that because what we have now resembles pure and fair capitalism that benefits all parties as much as I resemble Elmer Cheney. What we have is unbridled corporatism bordering on Plutocracy. The working man clearly has no advantage, no say and no place in the modern corporate structure and no one seems to be taking any action to even address this.
