Oh, Lordie - More Cheney lies regarding his human (near)kill.
In the interviews on Faux (per Raw Story - I can't watch Faux News), Cheney says:

"Cheney told Hume that Katharine Armstrong made the call to the local media because she was an "acknowledged expert," a former official with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and also since she was an eyewitness to the shooting. Cheney also said that Rove communicated with Armstrong since he knew her, and had hunted at the Armstrong Ranch."

So Cheney says Armstrong was an eyewitness when Armstrong herself admits the first thing she saw was Cheney's security men running, and she thought Ducky Dick'd had a heart attack. I guess she was the kind of eyewitness Cheney likes - the kind who, like Sgt. Shultz, see nothing!

Does that revolting man EVER tell the truth? :puke:

1. I knew Rove had his grubby hands in there somewhere -
nothing goes down without his involvement. He's probably the FIRST person they called when they realized they were in a bind.

4. Or the one they're dumping it off on now.
Neither scenario would surprise me.

3. They're already scrubbing this part of the story. CNN says:
"Cheney stood by his decision not to inform the national media directly of the incident, instead allowing Katharine Armstrong, on whose ranch the shooting occurred, to tell a Corpus Christi newspaper about the shooting the next morning.

"I thought that made good sense because you can get as accurate a story as possible from somebody who knew and understood hunting, and then it would immediately go up to the wires and be posted on the Web site, which is the way it went out," Cheney said. "And I thought that was the right call.""

5. MSNBC is carrying the lies.
"Agreed with Armstrong's decision
Cheney said he agreed that ranch owner Katharine Armstrong should make the story public, because she was an eyewitness, because she grew up on the ranch and because she is “an acknowledged expert in all of this” as a past head of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He also agreed with her decision to choose the local newspaper as the way to get the news out.

“I thought that made good sense because you can get as accurate a story as possible from somebody who knew and understood hunting and then it would immediately go up to the wires and be posted on the Web site, which is the way it went out and I thought that was the right call,” Cheney said."

I guess CNN gets more propaganda $$$ from the Bush PR $1.6 Billion slush fund.
