Dick's Pity Party: So I Shot a Guy - POOR ME! ---pix->>>

"I'm the guy who pulled the trigger that fired the round that hit Harry," Cheney told Fox News Channel in his first public comments since the shooting Saturday in south Texas.

Cheney described seeing 78-year-old Harry Whittington fall to the ground after he pulled the trigger while aiming at a covey of quail.

"The image of him falling is something I'll never ever be able to get out of my mind," Cheney said. "I fired, and there's Harry falling. It was, I'd have to say, one of the worst days of my life at that moment."

Worst day in his life. What about the 100's of thousands he's caused misery.

May you have many more miserable days Mr. Cheney, but without hurting others.

11. Quail Lunch >

They even had guests over!

Armstrong contacted the Corpus Christi Caller-Times around 9 a.m. Central time on Sunday. Asked why the information was not disseminated on Saturday night, immediately after the accident, Armstrong said: "The last thing that was on our mind was the media. We were thinking about Harry."

***

The manager of a ranch in neighboring Brooks County attended a quail lunch at the Armstrong Ranch headquarters midday Sunday with Cheney. Lavoyger Durham, manager of El Tule Ranch, said the luncheon talk was of "North Korea, India, China, Taiwan."

There was no discussion about the accident the night before, he said, but it became known at the luncheon that Cheney asked to have the morning hunt canceled. "He didn't want to shoot," Durham said.

18. And they had a nice dinner at the ranch the night before, too.
All while poor Harry was being airlifted from one hospital to another's Trauma Center. Gee, it must have been a fantastic dinner to hold their attention like that while their friend HAD BEEN SHOT and was being worked on!. :eyes:

These creatures are unreal.

33. Reminds me of how Babs Bush went golfing after her little girl died.
Golfing, the day after she died. These people certainly, um, mourn differently than I do... kind of hard for me to relate to enjoying fancy dinners and a leisurely round of golf after horrific incidents.

Bury their heads in the sand and hope it goes away. Then schedule some photo-ops to provide the appearance of concern.

No wonder his responses have been less than stellar. She has as much sympathy as Goebbels in a press briefing. I can hear it now, "I am the victim, Poor Me Poor Me"

The big question is - Where is Lynne? Heh, heh.

26. Wouldn't the term "round" seem to mean one bullet, rather than
a faceful of shotgun pellets. Was he so drunk that he doesn't remember whether he fired a rifle, or a shotgun? Looks like an attempt to somehow minimize the damage, one wound rather than 200.

And those pellets are something Whittington will never be able to get out of his heart and liver.

Poor little Dickie. He has it so hard.
