Hilarious Cheney Thread At FR!
Check out response #301 -- they don't think it's a HUGH story! LOL!! Another one has NEVER HAD MORE RESPECT FOR DICK CHENEY THAN NOW. That just about says it all! These people are so insane.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1579131/posts?q=1&&page=301

They think the beer will be "blown out of proportion..." OH YEAH!! Picture if John Kerry had been drinking then shot somebody, picture what they would do, Cheney's toast you idiots...

Bush or Cheney could go to their "homes" and have forced sex w/ their wives, daughters, moms,
or sisters and they would say, "What a guy fighting terrorists and still he has time to spread his
love to the common people."

although i will admit .... i do peep @ their site from time to time.

Unfortunately, there will be undue focus on a beer. The only appropriate amount of alcohol around firearms is zero for at least 8 hours. Many people will talk about how many hours transpired, and that nobody was intoxicated. It will get blown out of proportion now, for sure.

Anyone wanna make a bet on how many "CHENEY WAS DRUNK WHEN HE SHOT THE LAWYER" stories the lying mainstream media will come out tomorrow? The "Cheney was Drunk" lie is already all over the dark side.

IMO, bad heart or not...this is just an attempt by the liberal MSM to damage Cheney as a future Presidential contender.
Afterall, I could see Bush nominating him to ensure a coninuance of the successful WOT.

Well....Brit just said that Cheney admits to having a beer at lunch that day....but that was hours before the hunting trip.

289 posted on 02/15/2006 12:20:16 PM PST by Txsleuth

Could you provide a link to your statement that Cheney had a beer at lunch?

The man has a heart condition and takes heart medication. I didn;t think he was allowed to drink.

290 posted on 02/15/2006 12:20:32 PM PST by Republican Red ("Would this be a bigger story if he had been killed?")

Brit said Cheney had a beer around 11 a.m. and then went out shooting at 3 p.m. or so. Only had one beer and Cheney said there had been no drinking.

As far as drinking if you are a heart patient and taking medication - you can if done in moderation and one beer would be in moderation.

perhaps reporters (who mysteriously went undetected by the throng of secret servicemen) distracted Whittington so that he would go chase a different group of quail and watched and timed carefully in order to whisper that Whittington had to go back to the group just then but had to do so quietly as to not disturb the vp... oh those devious liberal mediafolks! :eyes:

27. Oh my god...these people are incredibly stupid.
Cheney was hoping the local rag would print a small blurb about the accident on page 10 then die a small death.

Then the cabal spent 15 hours trying to get their stories (aka lies) straight so they would all be on the same page.

He only "took the heat" because dribblings of the truth started coming out.

So I'll say it again, these people are incredibly stupid.

29. One at a Time Freepers...One at a Time
I wish to hell Cheney would take said Freeper up on the offer to hunt with him. In fact, I think Dick should take one Freeper a day out on a hunt with him. It might make our country a little better place

To: Peach
As I expected, our Vice President stepped up, accepted the responsibility for this accident, and carried himself very well in doing so.

Dick Cheney is a hunter. For whatever reason, he made an error that many hunters have made. Fortunately, the person who was hit will be OK. Hunters don't deny responsibility. They don't pass blame off on someone else. And they learn from their mistakes.

I'm sure he has replayed this many times in his head, and still can't believe that he made that error. A bird flew by; he tracked it and fired. Sadly, one of the party was in the line of fire.

Good hunting practice was not followed, but that happens from time to time.

I'm betting he never forgets his zone of fire again. I'd hunt with him.

48. The person (his name is Whittington, you fweeper) will NOT be okay.
Even if he survives, which appears likely now, he will most definitely NOT be okay.

These fweepers are astonishingly dense about the effects of shotgun pellets buried in the body. Would any of them like to look in the mirror and see hamburger where their face used to be and try to imagine the scars that will ensue? Whittington was a nice-looking man. He sure won't be now. His face helped him in his business, too. Kiss that asset good-bye.

32. You know, if the Freepers weren't so willfully ignorant, you could
almost take pity on them. As it is, they only listen to opinions that match their own so they can bolster their inflated sense of importance. They are nearly as insulated as Bush and proclaim any dissenting view as a liberal lie. They really get excited when one of the RW pundits agrees with what they've "been saying all along". Their minds are made up, don't confuse them with the facts.

Can you believe this????

To: Howlin
I think I can see why he hasn't come forward before now.
Definitely. If this was Gore, the press would tell us we need to give him time to recover and pray, etc., etc. The VP looked like a broken man to me. Cheney: You focus on the bird, but as soon as I saw Harry, everything else left my mind so I don't know whether I got the bird or not. I ran over to him. One fortunate thing is I have a medical team with me wherever I go and within a minute or 2 he was administering first aid. Harry was conscious. I said "Harry, I had no idea you were there". He didn't respond.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are they "efffing" kidding me??? Gore?? A guy that was hounded unmercifully, YES! UNMERCIFULLY, for a comment about a book and movie from 30 years ago??? The Gore that was hounded and caricatured unmercifully, YES UNMERCIFULLY, about a comment about the funding for research on the development that eventually led to the World Wide Web? That Gore?? That was the Gore that was given a pass by the media???

This is a rhetorical question, but are these people fucking insane????
