So let me get this straight --
The Vice President of this country was on a hunting trip PAID FOR BY A LOBBYIST WITH A LOBBYIST with a WOMAN WHO IS NOT HIS WIFE, and SHOT SOMEONE "accidentally", then didn't make himself available to the local police until the next day --

And the guy he shot has spent DAYS in the hospital already, and is "old" / might die.

Oh, and there were alcoholic beverages being imbibed, but "no one" was drunk -- just feeling "fine."

Am I missing anything in this story?

3. The "old" friend, who "was" Darth's friend, caused the shooting.
He didn't "announce himself" during the quail hunt. Oh, and that night Darth and company sat down to a nice dinner at the ranch while Harry W. was being airlifted from one hospital to another's Trauma Center, riddled with shotgun pellets. The very next day, Darth attended a "quail lunch" at the ranch, too.

I think that's it for the Texas end of it.

5. Yes, and VP's cronies and advisers all took the opportunity to explain
how the victim, who couldn't grant an interview from his ICU BED, was completely at fault in the thing.

Until VP had to drag hisself onto Crony News to actually claim responsibility.

7. Now, now, Harry was busy writing on a legal pad, gettin' work done.
Yes, they think we're that stupid. :eyes:

I'm still trying to figure out why Darth said that Harry "was my friend." How many beers did Darth have before the interview to loosen his tongue like that? The truth peeked out.

10. I hear the victim was in ICU for privacy.
Yeah, Ooookeeeeee..... The way I read that is he had to be kept isolated till they got their stories straight.

Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 06:18 PM by xiamiam
incident himself...to the authorities or the press but had someone else do it...SAT DOWN TO DINNER with the guests at the ranch before speaking with authorities and WHILE Whittington had just arrived at the hospital...wouldnt it have been natural to accompany his victim to the hospital?...the list goes on and on if you really want to think about it....

12. Just one thing: This is the real president, and he's fired the press sec.
There's no reason for McLellan to go to school these days. It's clear Cheney won't work with or through the pres, and that includes the wh press secty.

13. You forgot this:
"Katharine Armstrong said she saw Cheney's security detail running toward the scene. "The first thing that crossed my mind was he had a heart problem," she told The Associated Press."

If the first thing she saw was Cheney's security detail running toward the scene, and she thought Cheney'd had a heart attack, then she WASN'T an eyewitness and shouldn't be talking in the press about what happened when she has no freaking idea. If she didn't see or hear anything, which she indicates by saying she thought Cheney'd had heart problems, then how the freak does SHE know if Whittington announced himself or not, or even if Cheney had seen him and shot anyway? She DOESN'T KNOW what happened !! The above statement ***PROVES*** that she was *NOT* an eyewitness - SHE WASNT THERE.

Blood thinners, etc. That aren't supposed to be mixed with alcohol.
