Where Did Cheney's Gun Come From?
Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 06:02 PM by ret5hd
I have heard it said on this board that Cheney's shotgun is an $18,000 Italian work of beauty and art. Now, there can't be that many of them around, and it seems to me that this is the type of gun that would be given as a gift, not bought for oneself.

Is there a way to find out who the original purchaser of this gun was? Wouldn't it really be a hoot if it was from Abramoff or somebody like that?

those out like candy to the heavy hitter clients, bankers, insurance guys, etc.

Granted, most were not the same grade as what Cheney was using- mostly in the $7K range.

You just would not believe. Whole sets of top of the line golf clubs, Rolexes, custom boots, I could go on and on.

Perazzis and Kreighoffs, mainly.

I've had some myself.

7. Could you post some verification of that?
Not doubting your word or saying you could be wrong...just asking for some verification.

9. Here's a little interesting information from the Perazzi website.
http://www.shootingsports.com/perazzi/28game.htm

The manufacturer states that the safety on the gun is automatic. That means that there is no lever or button to switch it on or off. If the gun is loaded all that's needed to set it off is to pull the trigger.

That's important because it increases the chance of a mishap due to improper handling. If someone holds the gun or carries it around with their finger on the trigger it could cause it to go off. Also a high end, custom shotgun like the one he was using would most likely have a light and sensitive trigger.
