8. That is what I was going to say.
It is a delicate balance but the minority must be protected always. I can't vote because of that wording.

6. Other
The one who best implements equal justice for all. Has little to do with willingness or lack thereof to set aside ones own principles and interests. Has much to do with practical and measurable accomplishments.

7. I don't want any of those choices - I want a leader who will do what's
necessary, even if unpopular, but who is willing to have his/her mind changed when he/she is in error.

I don't want arrogance or wishy-washyness. I want a leader.

16. No, the first option doesn't leave room for a change of mind.
The first option is a guy who does what he wants, regardless of its correctness.

17. dude, it's a poll, not a treatise.
there is a moment where a leader must make a crucial decision. i'm talking about that. something goes to a vote and they have to choose one or the other.

9. It depends on the type of leader...
Senators, I expect to vote their beliefs.

Representatives, I expect to represent the voters' wishes.

12. A leader who looks at a number of opinions and facts before making

a decision. The biggest failure of the Bush Administration is this belief that they are superior to everyone else leading to more "group think" than all other administrations put together. A great leader should be humble and someone who searches for truth, not someone who claims to have truth. If the conclusion they come to goes against his/her constituents then so be it if he/she feels strongly about the decision.
